Mar 12 update

Our Father’s World
It was a great success! We are so thankful to the committee and all the parents who put so much time and effort into this great night. Over $40,000 was raised for our endowment fund, which will help families afford the privilege of Christian Education as well as help our school grow and secure its future. It was wonderful and inspiring to hear from three of our 8th grade friends about their experiences at Rockford Christian. All of the Staff are so proud of the growth that has taken place in these students. Our Father’s World was a wonderful celebration of our students, our community and our school!

Scrap booking
tonight and tomorrow. This weekend is a huge fundraiser for us with people coming to RCS for the Scrapbooking Extravaganza. Thank you to all of you who are bringing goodies for who attend. All the proceeds will go to the 6th grade Environmental Classroom

Family Time
The 6th grade Environmetal nClassroom students are responsible for Monday’s Family Time. The time of worship and praise is entitled “Smooth Road, Bumpy Road, Ditch!” and it will focus on how God takes cares of us during those difficult times in our life. You are welcome to join us from 8:40-9:10 next Monday.

Things to look forward to next week are!

Chapel

Today I spoke at chapel for Grand Rapids Christian High School! There were around 1200 students that listened to me tell my story! I brought along my sister Amy who helped with my presentation. It went great! Afterward we went around the school and saw some of our old teachers!

Mar 2, 2010

We had a great start today for the week and the new month!! Today’s weather is absolutely beautiful.

This Is Our Father’s World event is scheduled for this Thursday evening, Mar. 4. We hope to have this evening be a wonderful celebration! I hope to see you there!

In the 6th grade Environmental Classroom
They started African country presentations today and continuing through Friday. I think they would like your prayers as they do this.

Beginning on Friday, Mr. VerMerris will start his “Interim Principal” position for the remainder of the month. Mr. Buth will be coming into 6th grade and handling many of his daily classes.
SCRAPBOOKING EXTRAVAGANZA!! March 12 & 13!! Please, please talk up the scrapbooking event to your friends and family. Last year was a wonderful time for women to come for the weekend and learn more about and do scrapbooking with their photos. This year promises to be the same great time. This event (Friday and Saturday or either day) is a great fundraiser for the Environmental Classroom. In fact, the mothers who are putting it on are mothers from last year’s class who are donating the profits to our 2010 Environmental Classroom! Last year the EC made $725, and we hope that we can better that amount this year. Please let Lori Melton or Tami Redfield know if you are interested.
Bring some friends!

I'm going to speak at chapel at G.R.C.S. tomorrow morning. I will be at school before I go speak.

Have a great first week of March!!
Until next time -
