We know that there are many of you who have been praying for us and have committed to being our Prayer Partners, as well as financial partners, in this exciting journey so we thought the best way to stay connected to you was to start a blog. You can read this on your own time and visit us now and again to see what God is doing in our lives in preparation for this exciting journey. You can even leave us messages of encouragement! It’s like Facebook, but just for our team & those who are supporting us!! Right now, Lord willing, our trip is scheduled for March 18-26th, 2011.
The blog is http://hearts4missions.wordpress.com/2011/02/15/hello-world/

6th Grade Environmental Classroom Going to the North Woods!!!!
This week, Feb. 9-11, the 6th Grade EC students will be going to the AuSable Institute of Environmental Studies for three days of extended learning activities. AuSable Institute is located near Kalkaska, Michigan. During their experience, the EC students will be studying winter survival skills along with water quality. They will be testing water samples from Big Twin Lake, Louie’s Pond, and several well sites on the AuSable Institute property. Besides the classroom experiences, they will also be snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and playing broom ball (with the hopes of beating the adults who will be accompanying them).

Please remember the 28 EC students, Miss Barrett, Mr. VerMerris, and the parents traveling with the group in your prayers—for good learning and safety in travels.

The 4th graders were so excited about what they were able to do for the people of Haiti! We learned that Amy Worst, with whom we worked in November, is returning to Haiti in March. The students would like to be able to support her again.
So: The 4th graders decided to donate the money we earn at the school store to Amy to help her fund her trip.

This Saturday morning, February 5, from 8:00 – 11:00 A.M., Jane Bouwkamp, Katy Spengler, Amy Worst and the rest of their team are hosting a pancake breakfast at school. There is no charge, but they are taking donations for the trip.

If you have any Prayer Requests, I will put it up on the monitors! I would love to pray for you and your family!! I don’t have to put up Prayer Request on the monitor

We hope to see you at the 8th Grade Play this Friday, February 4! The play starts at 7:00, and this year the play will be an adaption of the well-known story of “Snow White.” Your evening at the play will guarantee many laughs, since a comical spin is put with this fairy tale. This is a very family fun oriented play, and is a great idea for a night out! Hope to see you there!.

Thanks for all that you do for God’s kingdom.
