Family Time
Mon., January 30th Praise and Worship (all school) – Led by Mark Kuiper.

Yearbook
All the yearbook cover entries that were not selected are in the office. If students want their entries back, they may pick them up at any time. They will be recycled at the end of the month-ish (if not picked up).

Lollipop Sale
The 6th grade Environmental Classroom students are once again selling delicious Ozard Delight Lollipops at morning break for the next three weeks. Cost: .75¢

Thank you...
for helping your child dress for the snowy weather. (just don’t forget about gym shoes for Wednesdays!).
We have started to play basketball in gym and intramurals (7th and 8th).

Save the Date!! – Friday, February 10
Make sure that you have the 8th Grade Class Play penciled in on your calendar for Friday, February 10! The play starts at 7:00 p.m. This year the play will be an adaption of the well-known story of “Alice in Wonderland.” Your evening at the play will guarantee many laughs, since a comical spin is put on this unique tale. This is a very family-fun-oriented play and is a great idea for a night out! Hope to see you there!

Ski Club News
Ski Club will be meeting every Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Feel free to contact Jodi Leja with any questions at 745-3640.

Equestrian team
Does your son or daughter ride horses? If so, Grand Rapids Area Christian Schools has a middle school equestrian team that they can participate on. It is a great opportunity for young riders to get a feel what it will be like to be on a high school equestrian team. The equestrian meet date is Saturday, June 16. Blog update 1/23

Family Time this morning
Thanks 3rd grade for k-5 family time who did some skits and Mr. Burgess was with the M.S. Both of these family times were about the fruit of the Spirit of Self-Control.

3rd grade news!!!
They are traveling back in time to ancient Egypt as they uncover the mysteries of the pharaohs, pyramids, and mummies (and daddies)]

We are once again asking our families to donate a box of tissues to help supply class-rooms. And, as always, our noses thank you!

A Week at a glance

The fourth graders went to our state capitol on Monday. They went to the capitol in Lansing to see how our state government works!!

Due to the snow day this past week, the 5th graders are going to camp on Thursday morning

R.C.S. Spelling Bee Results
1st: 6th grader Gabrielle Brainard, 2nd: 8th grader Ashley Solle, 3rd: 5th grader Nathan Solle

Our Christmas Family Time was a wonderful celebration of the gift of Jesus. Mark Kuiper, Spiritual Life Director/Chaplain for Grand Rapids Christian High, led us in worship and reflection on the true meaning of Christmas. We are so blessed to be able to celebrate Jesus’ birth with our Rockford Christian School community.
