I hope you had a wonderful, long weekend.  I did.

River Rock Student Space
River Rock has opened the doors to the Student Space. On Tuesdays, during noon recess and lunch, RCS middle school students can use that space to hang out in and eat their lunches.  Bobby and other River Rock staff will be there to meet with the students and monitor that time.  As in past years, grade levels will take turns using the Student Space each Tuesday.

Focus on Your Future (6th-8th Grade Students & Parents) November 18
"Focus on Your Future" is an event being held at GR Christian High School specifically for Rockford Christian 6th - 8th grade students and their parents. It will be held on Monday evening, November 18, from 6:45-8:00 p.m.  Pizza will be served and information on GRCHS will be shared. This will be a great night to begin (or continue) your exploration of the intentional faith community at GR Christian High as a wonderful, opportunity-filled option for your children. More information will be coming in upcoming Home Bulletins, but save the date and call Lyndi Bell at Christian High if you have questions now: 616-574-5500.

8th Grade Sub Sale
Our 8th grade students have begun their annual submarine sandwich sale to raise money for their Class Trip to Mackinaw City.  This is a wonderful opportunity to order delicious food and to help out these students!  You can order subs in two different ways: the 8th graders will have order forms in hand OR obtain an order form from the school office.  All order forms will need to be turned into the front office/student by this Friday, November 1, and the subs will be available for pickup at the front of school (if you ordered from the front office) or from the student you ordered with at the end of the day on Friday, November 15.  Thanks for your support, and don't let this sub opportunity "float" on by!

Pumpkin Patch
We raised $293.87 from our pumpkin patch sales this year. Thank you to all of you who contributed to the 2nd grade pumpkin patch this year! We will let you know soon the name of the charity we will be donating our monies to.

School Pictures
School pictures were sent home with students. Our re-take date is scheduled for Monday, November 11. Your student(s) must return the original picture package on the re-take date at the time of the picture. The class composites (if ordered) will arrive later.

The Scholastic Book Fair is heading our way!
Visit the front entrance lobby for all the fun! There are so many books for every kind of kid and adults, too. Adventure, sci-fi, cookbooks, best-sellers, and “laugh-out-loud” stories. The sale will be held November 4-8, hours 8:15 a.m.-3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Special evening hours on Wednesday, November 6 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Come shop at our book fair and get some early Christmas shopping done. Books make great Christmas presents! Proceeds from the sale will benefit the library at RCS.
