Today’s Family Time

Monday ---Today Mr. VerMerris spoke to the students about keeping the focus of Christmas on Jesus. The title was “Turn You Eye…” based on Hebrews 12:2. He challenged the students to look at the baby in the manger and see that the baby was our Savior.

On Wednesday

the 6^th grade Environmental Classroom students will be going to the Bunker Interpretive Center at Calvin College in order to learn about what a “Green” building is. On Friday, they hope to go to see the Christmas trees from around the world at the Frederik Meijer Gardens.

The Lost & Found is Growing! please check out the lost and found table. Any items left at Christmas break will be donated to New 2 You.

December Concerts

All 7th/8th grade students will be participating in a choir concert at the DeVos Center for Arts and Worship tonight, December 12 at 7:30 P.M. Call time for students is 7:10 p.m.

Attire: Black pants/skirts/shoes and white shirt. (If possible, boys should wear a long-sleeve, button-down shirt.)

No RPS Bussing

Christmas Family Time

Please plan to attend our Christmas Family Time on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 20th, from 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. in the Worship Center. Note that there will be NO Family Time on Monday morning, December 19

Reminder about Christmas Break: The last day of school before Christmas break begins is Tuesday, December 20^th. Wednesday, December 21^st is the first day off. We have two full weeks off over the holidays, and we return to school on Wednesday, January 4^th, 2012.

Winter Weather Reminders:

1- Make sure students come to school prepared to go outside for recess.

2- Two Hour Delay means: Before School Care is canceled; Preschool is canceled; Kids Club is canceled; AM Kindergarten is canceled.

School Cancellations will be posted on WOOD TV8, WZZM13 and on our website at grcs.org.

GR Christian High Eagles’ Nest

5^th-8^th grade students may purchase an Eagles Nest shirt for $10 from the RCS office. These shirts allow for $1 admission to GRCHS basketball games at the high school this winter.

There will be Instant TRIP at Rockford on Tuesday, December 20 the last TRIP shopping day of the year; they will be open from 8:00a.m. - noon.

Hoodies/t-shirts and sweatpants are available for purchase from the school office; cash and carry only. RCS logo wear makes great gifts!
