Blog Update Tuesday, January 2

I hope you had a good weekend with your friends and family!
Some of you know my sister Amy. Amy's husband got a job in Florida. I'm telling you for two reasons - one so you can pray. Amy and her two kids are flying out Friday. The 2nd reason is I will not be at school on Thursday and Friday so I can spend time with her.

Highlights from the home bulletin
The RCS Staff wishes to thank the PTO for the beautiful new refrigerator that the PTO purchased and donated to school.  This new fridge replaces an old one that died in the first semester and gives ample storage room not only for the teachers' lunches but for other supplies that are brought in for classes or events at school.  Thanks to the PTO for continuing its great care for the RCS staff!

Please welcome Andrea Velzen, a Calvin College art education student, and Kirk Groenenboom, a Calvin College early childhood education major, to Rockford Christian as our new After School Care (ASC) co-directors.  Kirk already started in January, and Andrea will start today.  They are both excited to work with the kids in After School Care!
