100 Day Challenge
As part of
our 100 Day, we were challenged to bring in 100 coin collections to be donated
to Kiva, a non-profit organization that provides micro-loans to individuals
around the world to help alleviate poverty. These loans are paid back eventually
by the individual receiving them. Once you get the money back, you can put it
towards another project. This year, we were able to raise $250 from our 100
coin collections! We will be donating this money to Julia’s Group. They live in
Kenya, Africa. This money will go towards a water chlorine system for their
community, which will give access to clean water for people in their area. Here
is more of their story if you’re interested:
Thank you for your generosity! A
little goes a long way!

Projects to Share:
If your
student at Rockford Christian School would like to make a project at home to
share, I will take a photo of it and I will put it on the RCS monitors.
The other choice is for you to take the picture and send it to me at
DWorst@grcs.org. Please make all projects Valentine-related.
Or a
Valentine message for your student to put up on RCS monitors!
