Update 5/9

It is with sadness that I write to notify you that Ken Conrad, father of 8th grader Audrey Conrad, died on Friday evening. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer only one week ago.

Please be in prayer for Audrey and her family in this time of loss and grief.
We are grateful that we serve a risen Savior who gives us hope in the midst of death.

Saturday, May 7

The Underwoods wanted to let you all know that Elizabeth Kate arrived safely Saturday morning

I hope that you all enjoyed Mother’s Day!!

Pray for Josh VanTil and his family; Josh starts working in Oregon this week.

Today at Family Time -- May 9

Thank you
to Mrs. B’s Kindergarten class for leading the K – 5th Family Time!

Spanish phrase

This is a very common word used by adults...often to children. If a child is about to cross a street, or playing on a playground, or running too fast, etc.

¡Cuidado! Kwee- dah-doe (Careful!)

P.E.

We are beginning our base games unit (kickball, German Bat Ball, softball, etc.).

This Friday the 6th grade EC students will be traveling to Muskegon to go onboard the WG Jackson, GVSU’s water research vessel. The students will be testing the water of Muskegon Lake and, weather permitting, will test the water on Lake Michigan. They will be testing for water turbidity, dissolved oxygen, pH, and looking at micro-organisms through microscopes. Their hope is to see that these two lakes are “healthy”. Please pray for nice weather on Friday!!
