Blog Update: October 23

I hope that you had a great weekend--it was a beautiful day yesterday. Praise God in everything!!

My dog,!
A couple of weeks ago I met my new super dog; her name is Barkley!
On October 17, I got to bring Barkley home! She is a golden lab mix with golden hair color.  She is four years old.  I can’t bring her out in public yet. It is going to be a couple of weeks until I do.  We need to bond with each other and get certified.  After that, you’ll be seeing me and Barley more.

Thanks f

The Environmental Classroom students are currently working on their recycling presentations.  These presentations will, hopefully, be ready to give to the grade levels next week.  The EC students are also working on their shelter building models.  They will begin their actual shelter at Camp Roger next week.  On Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Warners (Mr. Phil’s parents) will be coming to the EC and showing their slides of African animals.

Learning Commons News
Digital Citizenship Tip:  The Internet is full of wonderful resources for teaching and learning.   Students need to utilize critical thinking skills in sifting through the vast amount of information on the web.    We are committed to helping students discern what is safe, reliable and appropriate content.  Here is a great website you may be interested in viewing to help aid in this process: http://www.commonsensemedia.org.

The 5th graders celebrated “Real Reads” with a Fiesta Lunch.  They also came dressed up as a book character.  We did our best to photograph each child but missed a few when we had to change the batteries on the camera.  Everyone is included in the group photo.
Enjoy the video!
