Did you know?
 GR Christian High Eagles are going to the State Finals! Saturday night, Nov. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Ford Field. Congrats to Coach Fellows and the team! Go Eagles!!
           
Scholastic Book Fair
The sale will be held the week after Thanksgiving, Nov. 26 – 30. Hours: 8:15-3:45. Books make great Christmas presents!  Proceeds from the sale will benefit the library at RCS.
 
Start Your Book Fair Shopping Early
Our in-school Book Fair begins on Monday, November 26, but you can begin your book shopping Black Friday, November 23 at the Online Book Fair. Visit the Book Fair Homepage at http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/rockfordchrschool and click on the Shop Now button. Online shopping is available through December 4.
You can create wish lists and invite friends and family to shop with eCards. Best of all, purchases benefit our school and will help us achieve our Book Fair goal. All online orders ship for FREE to the school, and will be delivered to your child’s classroom after the Online Fair has ended.

On Nov. 20th, RCS will have the extra Christmas inventory.

P.E. News
No P.E. due to Thanksgiving this week!
 
Feed our Gator!
Help us double our Paper Gator earnings during the month of November by "feeding" it extra from November 1-22. Money earned from the Paper Gator helps support ALL the environmental programs at RCS. Thank you for your support!

Service Opportunities in November :  For the third consecutive year, RCS students will be engaging in service opportunities this month, as we try to tie our thanksgiving response to all God has done for us in our lives to service to those in need.

Preschool   --  Collecting food for Kids’ Food Basket
K, Spanish Immersion, and 1st – Visiting Covenant Village Retirement Home
2nd -- Raising $$ for a family affected by Hurricane Sandy
3rd – Raising $$ and buying supplies to assist a GRPS student in her service work
4th – School store that raises $$ for various student-selected missions to support
5th -- Porter Hills Retirement Home visit and Camp Roger clean-up
6th – Serving at Mobile Food Pantry
7th / 8th -- Serving at I.C.C.F., New 2 You, GRCMS, Degage, and Buist Community Center

Reminder:
Hot lunch orders are due tomorrow (Nov. 20th). 
 
Thanksgiving break is Nov. 21 – 23.
 
Lost & Found
Any items left at Thanksgiving Vacation will be donated to New 2 You.  Please check the table out or, better yet, have your kids check today or tomorrow.
6th Grade Environmental Classroom News
The sixth grade Environmental Classroom will not be going to Camp Roger this week.
Miss Barrett is in Haiti this week on a mission trip.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.  She'll be returning Saturday evening.
 
 “Operation Christmas Child” tradition.
 We collected almost 200  boxes  between RCS and RRC.
