Please join us in welcoming Alexis Sackrison, her brother,
and her parents, Benjamin and Anna, to RCS! They recently moved to Michigan
from Texas. Alexis joined Mrs.
VanderLaan's M-W-F preschool class. We are excited to have them join our RCS
family!
Learning Commons
News
The first graders finished their unit on plants by exploring
interactive Earth Day activities online.
The third graders are using print and electronic sources to
research Washington, D.C. They are using the Big 6 research model.
The sixth graders learned how to create an electronic
survey using Google Apps for Education. They will use this tool to
survey the community for their environmental action projects.

P.E. News
It’s time for
spring fitness testing in P.E. Over the next few weeks, the kids will be
doing the mile run, sit & reach, sit-ups, pull-ups and shuttle run
tests. It is my hope that the kids will show improvement compared to
their fall scores.
