Welcome to the 1st full week of
school!!
Family Time
Thanks Mrs.
Werdon for Family Time!!
LEARNING COMMONS
In the library, kindergartners began the “Cat in the Hat
READ” book bag reading program. They’re bringing home a book a day in their
personalized book bags to share with their parents. 5th graders are
exploring the genre of realistic fiction with REAL READS for the next 5 weeks.
All classes have started checking out books. Please
remind students on their library day to return books they’ve finished reading.
Hint: It’s a good idea to have a special shelf or box in the home to store
library books so they are easy to locate.
Have you wondered who puts the information on the
monitors? Well, the secret is out! It’s me! If you have
any prayer requests or announcements, feel free to email me at dworst@grcs.org.
Noon Recess Volunteers Needed

Event Deck – THIS coming Friday night,
September 13: This event will begin at 6:00 p.m. – come
any time after 6:00—with your family for FREE Yesterdogs and fellowship with RCS families young and old. This
will be a great night to celebrate and connect our current RCS families with
former families and to connect all RCS families to GRCHS. Lyndi Bell, GRCHS
admissions director, and Mark Stuit, GRCS alumni coordinator, are running this event for
Eric and have recruited RCS families with students at GRCHS to assist. Should
be a fun night!

Please continue to hold Mr. Burgess and his family in
prayer as he continues to recover. Check the Rockford Christian School Facebook page for updates.
Mrs. Wierenga’s Dad was just
diagnosed with a non-cancerous disease that will be treated with chemo.
It will be a long road to recovery. Please keep their family in your
prayers as they care for him.
Mrs. Wierenga’s aunt has been waiting
for a heart transplant for 3.5 years. She finally received the call on
Sept. 5 to get the transplant. We rejoice in this news, but also pray for
the donor family that is grieving.
Pray for
United States and Syria with all of the issues
If you have any Prayer Requests
I will put it up here!
I would love to pray for you and your family!!
Friends from PAWS with a Cause

visit the preschool classes on September 30 to teacus how a dog is trained to help MrDave. We thought it would
exciting to have the entire school involved in collecting items or money that
PAWS staff needs to accomplish their training. Please consider adding to
our collection by bringing in items from the list and placing them in the boxes
by the entries until September 30 We can’t wait to see a Foster Puppy
Thank you.
I will make a Donation to
Paws With A Cause you can help me by buying some of my note
