I hope that
you had a good two hour delay today.
Mr. Burgess Update
Mr. Burgess

happy to have him here! If you need to
speak with him, please e-mail him to set up a time: eburgess@grcs.org. Please keep praying for continued healing for
him.
No
RPS busing;
Tuesday, February 18 - No RPS busing; GRCS buses
regular schedule.
Parents of students who ride RPS buses will need to
drop off and pick up their students on those days. RPS is on mid-winter break.
Family Time News
Ask your children
about this Family Time. Mrs. Burgess and the second graders, reporters for the
“Galilee Gazette,” told us about four of Jesus’s powerful miracles.
Cinco de Mayo
The third
graders will be practicing their Spanish at the Cinco de Mayo restaurant in
Rockford this Wednesday, the 19th, and next Wednesday, the 26th.
They’ll be ordering their food in Spanish and also interviewing the waiters.
Each student has a question to ask the waiter such as, “What is your
name?” or “How long have you worked at Cinco de Mayo?” they
are eager to eat some great food together and to speak in Spanish!!
Conference Night Babysitting
Parents, do
you need someone to watch your children while you attend Parent-Teacher
Conferences this week Thursday, February 20? If so, you have a fun and
friendly option to choose right here at school! 8th graders
will be offering their babysitting services, complete with activities planned,
from 3:45-8:00 on these Conference nights in order to raise money for their
class trip to Mackinaw City in May. Take advantage of this convenient and
entertaining (or educational if your child needs to get some homework done!)
opportunity, and help support the 8th graders with a donation.
Sign in/out will be in the middle school hallway. If you have any
questions, feel free to contact Mrs. Oren (soren@grcs.org).
Thanks!
