I hope that
you had a great weekend, along with all of the snow days.
Mr. Burgess Update
Mr. Burgess
is back to school – part-time. We are so
happy to have him here! If you need to
speak with him, please e-mail him to set up a time: eburgess@grcs.org. Please keep praying for continued healing for
him.
The
meal schedule for the Burgess' has been extended through Spring Break. If
you're willing and able to help, please click on the link below and sign up for
a time.
This
is especially helpful now that Eric is coming back to work a few days and Tracy
is back to work as well.
Thank
you in advance for being the hands and feet of Christ!
You
are a blessing the Burgess family!

RCS
Emergency
School Closings
When inclement weather makes it necessary to cancel school,
announcements are made over the following radio and television stations: WOOD
AM 1300, and TV Channels 8 and 13. If Rockford Public Schools are closed or on
a delay, RCS is also closed or on a delay and will be listed separately. A delay will result in no
before-school care, no morning kindergarten, no preschool and no Kids’ Club. If
the delay happens on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday, class for afternoon
kindergarten enrichment students will begin at 12 noon that day.
You’re Invited!
Make sure that you have the 8th Grade Class Play
penciled in on your calendar for Friday, February 7! The play starts at 8:00
p.m., and this year the play will be “The Westing Game,” which is adapted from
the mystery book written by Ellen Raskin. Your evening at the play will
guarantee many laughs with the comical story being performed by your favorite 8th
Graders. This is a great idea for a night out! We hope to see you
there to help figure out who will win it all in the Westing Game!
Family Time News

Grade Environmental Classroom
We
have an exciting week planned as we prepare for our 3-day learning experiences
to AuSable Institute for Environmental Studies which is located just north of
Kalkaska. The students will be learning
about winter survival and water
quality. They will be leaving on
February 12.
This
week Wednesday they will continue their
study of animal tracks by discovering which animals have visited their GGA area
at Camp Roger.
Thank
you to all who purchased lollipops during January. The profits will be going to help cut the
costs of our learning trips this year.
